The European Agricultural Research Iniative (EURAGRI) is the international (EU) platform for the political and executive organisations in the fields of Food and Agricultural Policy and Research. It provides a forum for informal exchange on opinions and views on developments in science, society and industry, especially in so far as those can have implications on the programming and execution and planning of food and agricultural research.
The knowledge, excellence and experience that is embodied in the standing agricultural knowledge and research organisations is still -and will remain- of indispensable value for the further development of a sustainable, healthy and prosperous agriculture and food industry in Europe. The agricultural faculties, the agriculture and food research institutes/organisations certainly have the ambition and feel the mission to guarantee the availability and to further develop this knowledge, excellence and expertise to the benefit of a competitive and healthy Europe.
They have accepted the challenge to commit their scientific and societal endeavors to the benefit and welfare of general society, while concomitantly supporting and underpinning the agriculture and food sectors.
