Organisation

The organisational set up of EURAGRI is informal. National members are grouped according to EU members states or accession countries. Members include:

the Research and Education directors of of the Ministeries of Agriculture (or equivalents)
representatives of the food and agriculture research organisations (or equivalents).

Euragri is chaired by one of the members on an annual succession scheme. The chair is assisted by the previous and pre-previous chair, together with the COC (Committee of Chairs). The executive of EURAGRI is the Secretary General.

At the Madrid Conference Bettina Heimann was appointed as the new General Secretary

EURAGRI Conference 2009

The XXIII EURAGRI Conference was held in Madrid in the period 27-30 September, and it was a very successful conference allowing the member countries to discuss recent developments in agriculture and climate change.
